WHERE TO FIND US
The Lake is situated on Green Lane Samlesbury 3 miles from Samlesbury Hall on the A677 and 4 miles from Jct.31 of the M6. It is also 4 miles from Hoghton Towers on the A6061.
From the M6/Samlesbury Hall
From the M6 Jct.31 exit and travel to wards Blackburn on the A59 through the traffic lights on to the A677 and past Quatros. Before Samlesbury Hall turn right into Nabs Head Lane. Branch right at the Nabs Head into Goosefoot Lane. Proceed into Samlesbury Bottoms and then as you are rising out of the bottoms turn right into Green lane.
From Hoghton Towers
From Hoghton Towers on the A6061 travelling from Blackburn turn right at the Boars Head into Gib Lane. Follow Gib Lane for about 1 mile and then take the first right into Goosefoot Lane then the second left into Green Lane
Green Lane
Travel 1 mile down Green Lane past the farms and the cottage until you see the sign for Knight Bottoms Farm on the right hand side.
From Roach Road
The Lake can be approached from Roach Road. Turn right into Firwood Lane(off Roach Road) and then take the first left into Darkwood Lane. At the top of Darkwood Lane branch right and the farm track to the Lake is about 30 yds on the left hand side.
The farm track has large Green gates. The Lake is not visible from the road. Proceed down the farm track with caution.
